What is a Virtual Assistant?
You might only be a small business yourself, and you’re really loving what you do, but finding the time to dot the i’s and cross the t’s is another job in itself.
You’ve thought about taking on a member of staff, but you haven’t got the extra money to pay for everything that would go with that. A permanent, regular wage, pension, insurance, equipment and office space. Plus you’d always have to find work to fill the hours you employed them for. Not to mention the added paperwork of having someone on your payroll!
This is where I come in! As a VA, I am not your employee. I don’t need an office, I work remotely and I have my own computer. Together, we agree my role and my hours – which could be as little as an hour a week to start with. No payroll needed, just an invoice from me at the end of each month!

A bit about me, Jo Shea
As a wife, and Mum of two, I understand how hard it can be to juggle running a business and family life. Being a Creative VA, I can do what I love, whilst not missing out on all the important stuff at school etc. At the same time, I hope to help you find that work/life balance for yourself. (You know, the one you were so excited about when you first started out?!)
As well as being very organised, I am very creative, I love writing and I love designing. I have a degree in Creative Writing, years of experience with Canva, WordPress, Elementor, Google Workspace, Trello, Mailerlite plus so much more. I learn fast, and I am tech savvy, so anything new you want to use, I would soon get to know.
Having run my business since 2018, supporting multiple clients across a wide range of businesses, I feel I have the skills and knowledge to support small businesses and business start-ups. I know how it feels to be just starting out, or that you’re trying to grow, but you’re just not sure where to turn next. I hope that in my own creative way I can help you build the business you deserve.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, drawing and painting and just generally being creative. I also love hanging out with friends.
